Download and install your Avast product
Before you can activate an Avast subscription, first download and install the product on your device. To download and install your Avast product:
- Click the button below: Get Product
- Choose your product, then Choose your platform using the drop-down menus.
- Click See Installation Instructions, then follow the on-screen steps.
Your chosen Avast product is now installed on your device. If you did not yet activate your product, refer to the next sections in this article for detailed instructions on how to locate your activation code and activate your Avast product.
Locate your activation code
Activating your Avast product subscription on a new device requires either an activation code or Avast Account login credentials.

Activate your Avast product
If you cannot activate your product using the on-screen installation and activation instructions linked in the first section of this article, or if you prefer detailed instructions, refer to the relevant article below according to your device and Avast product:
- Single-Device subscription: You can activate your subscription on one device, on the platform specified during purchase. You can transfer your subscription to an alternative device on the same platform, but you cannot use your subscription on more than one device simultaneously.
- Multi-Device subscription: You can activate your subscription on up to 10 devices simultaneously, regardless of platform. You can transfer your subscription freely between devices and platforms.
