What is an Avast Account?
An Avast Account is a portal for managing your paid Avast subscriptions. On your Avast Account you can find information about:
- Subscriptions: Find tools and information to help you manage your Avast subscriptions. Options include download links for all of your purchased products, valid activation codes, and the number of devices where you are currently using the subscription.
- Billing: Check the next billing date for each subscription, change your payment card details, and unsubscribe directly via your Avast Account if you do not want to be charged again for a subscription.
- Order history: Review your complete Avast order history. Options include requesting a refund, finding your Order ID number, and retrieving an order invoice.
Is an Avast Account created automatically for me when I purchase an Avast product?
An Avast Account was created using the email address that you provided during the subscription purchase. To sign into your Avast Account for the first time, refer to the following article:

We recommend checking if an email address is already in the Avast Account database:
- Go to the recover password page.
- Enter the email address that you think may be correct, and click Continue.
If you see the message An account with this email doesn't exist - yet, the email address is not registered and try entering a different email address.
How can I add another email address to my Avast Account?
If you purchased a subscription using another email address, you can link that email to your Avast Account to have all your subscriptions under one account. To manually link a subscription to your Avast Account:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Go to account settings on the Account settings tile.
- Scroll to the Email management section and click + Add another email.
- Enter the new email address and your current Avast Account password, then click Add.

Where can I find information about my Avast subscriptions?
To see a list of your Avast subscriptions:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Manage subscriptions on the My Subscriptions tile.
The My Subscriptions screen displays your Avast subscriptions.

How can I cancel a subscription via my Avast Account?
Follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Manage subscriptions on the My Subscriptions tile.
- Click Unsubscribe under the subscription that you want to cancel.

How can I change my payment card details for an Avast subscription?
To update the payment card details for an Avast subscription via your Avast Account:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Manage subscriptions on the My Subscriptions tile.
- Click Update payment card in the box for the relevant subscription.
If you want to update payment card details for all of your Avast subscriptions, click Update payment card in the box for any one of your subscriptions. - Provide the information for the new payment card under Card details.
- If you want to use the new card details for all of your Avast subscriptions, tick the box next to Use this card for all subscription payments. If you only want to use the new card details for the selected subscription, leave this option unticked.
- Click Update payment card.
Your new payment details are now saved.

How can I use Family Sharing?
The Family Sharing feature in your Avast Account allows you to share an Avast subscription with up to 5 other people.

Where can I see how many devices my subscription is being used on?
To view the number of devices currently using a subscription:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Manage subscriptions on the My subscriptions tile.
- The number of devices using each subscription is shown next to Currently used on.
Devices appear in your Avast Account within 2 hours after an Avast subscription is installed and activated on the device.
How can I manage the devices using my subscription?
The Devices tile allows you to view the details of each device your Avast subscription is active on. A new device automatically appears in your Avast Account device list within 2 hours after you install and activate the app on the device.
To see a list of devices using your Avast subscriptions:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Devices overview on the Devices covered tile.
- The following options are available:
- Edit: Change the device type (Desktop, Phone, or Tablet) or name for quick recognition.
- Signed in as: Shows the email linked with the Avast Account subscription.
- Last seen: Shows the date the app was last used on this device.
- Subscriptions on this device: View the subscriptions used on this device. Additionally, click Subscription details to go to the My Subscriptions screen.
- Remove this device: Sign out of your subscription on this device and disable premium features.
- Add a new device: Shows the instructions for installing and activating the app on a new device.

How can I see my order history?
Follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click See your order history on the Order history tile.
The Order history screen displays a full list of your transactions with Avast.
How can I find my Avast order ID number?
Follow these steps:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click See your order history on the Order history tile.
- The order number for each transaction is shown under Order ID.

How can I request a refund?
If you are not completely satisfied with your Avast product, contact us within 30 days of purchase to receive a full refund. To request a refund directly via your Avast Account:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click See your order history on the Order history tile.
- Click Request a refund next to the order that you want a refund for.
The Request a refund option only appears next to orders that are eligible for a refund.
- Select Request a refund, then click Continue.
- If your order includes multiple subscriptions, tick the box next to each subscription that you want a refund for. Then, click Continue to refund.
- Optionally let us know why you are requesting the refund, then click Request a refund.
Your refund request has now been submitted for processing. You will be notified by email when the request has been processed.

How can I retrieve a copy of my order invoice?
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click See your order history on the Order history tile.
- Click Get invoice in the box for the relevant Avast purchase.
Your order invoice opens in a new browser window.
Settings and Usage
What is the Community forum?
To access the Avast Forum, click Go to forum on the Community forum tile on the main Avast Account screen. This channel is monitored by Avast employees and is a quick way to ask questions and discuss Avast products with other users.
What is 2-step verification?
For extra security, you can protect your Avast Account with 2-step verification. When you enable 2-step verification, you need to enter your password and a verification code from the Google Authenticator app each time you sign in. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
How can I manage the email addresses that are linked to my Avast Account?
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Go to account settings on the Account settings tile.
- Scroll to the Email management section to view the email addresses that are currently linked to your Avast Account. The email address that you use to sign in to your Avast Account is marked as your Primary email.
The following options are available:
- + Add another email: Link an additional email address to your Avast Account. You can add multiple email addresses to your Avast Account, but one email address cannot be linked to more than one account.
- Set as primary: Make this the email address that you need to enter when you sign in to your Avast Account.
- Delete: Remove this email address from your Avast Account along with all of the linked subscriptions and payments. You cannot remove your Primary email address.

Can I delete my Avast Account?
Yes. If you delete your account, your subscriptions won't be affected, but it will be more difficult for you to manage them on your own. You also might lose access to some features within your apps and some sharing options.
To delete your Avast Account:
- Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
- Click Go to account settings on the Account settings tile.
- Scroll to the Delete account section and click Delete Account.
- Click Continue deleting.
Troubleshooting
What if a subscription does not appear in my Avast Account?
When you purchase an Avast subscription via the official Avast website, the subscription automatically appears in your Avast Account if the email address that you provide at checkout is linked to your Avast Account. You can check which email addresses are currently linked to your Avast Account via Account settings ▸ Email management.
If you provided a different email address at checkout, you can manually add the missing subscription to your Avast Account. For instructions, refer to the following article:

Why do I see the error message 'Authorization Error 400: admin_policy_enforced'?
This error message appears when you try to sign in to your Avast Account using the Continue with Google option while you are signed in to a corporate Google Account managed via Google Apps Device Policy. To resolve this issue, try one of the options below:
- Return to the Avast Account sign in page. Rather than using the Continue with Google option, manually enter your Avast Account credentials, then click Continue.
- Return to the Avast Account sign in page and select Continue with Google. From the list of Google Accounts that appears, select a non-corporate Google Account (for example, your personal Google Account). If prompted, enter your Google Account credentials.
You are now signed in to your Avast Account.
Why is my Avast Account locked?
Every time you sign in to your Avast Account, we automatically scan known data breaches to ensure that your password is safe. If we find that the password you use to access your Avast Account was leaked online in another service's data breach, we immediately lock the account. To unlock your Avast Account, you need to reset your password.

The password reset email, sent from the Avast email address notification@emails.avast.com, may be marked as spam and moved to your spam folder.
