Managing subscriptions via your Avast Account

An Avast Account is your personal Avast portal, where you can manage your paid Avast subscriptions.

The following options are available via the My Subscriptions screen:

  • Cancel an Avast subscription
  • Retrieve the valid activation code for a paid subscription
  • Download the latest version of a purchased product

Retrieve subscription details

To view your subscription details using the Avast Account portal:

  1. Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
  2. Click the Subscriptions tile.

You can now view a list of your Avast subscriptions. For each subscription, the following details are available:

  • Period: shows the length of the subscription period.
  • Available for: shows number of devices you can activate.
  • Subscription status: shows one of the following statuses:
    • Subscribed: your subscription continues unless you choose to manually unsubscribe. This means that you are charged the price of the next subscription period when the current subscription period expires. You can check the exact date that you will be billed next to Next charge.
    • Expiring: your subscription will expire on the date shown next to Expiration date. To continue using the paid products and features after this date, renew the subscription before the expiration date shown.
  • Next charge: appears only if the subscription status is Subscribed, and shows the next billing date for the subscription.
  • Expiration date: appears only if the subscription status is Expiring, and shows the date after which you will lose access to the paid products and features included in the expiring subscription.
  • Activation code: shows the valid activation code that you can use to activate any of the paid products included in your subscription. You can either select Copy to clipboard and then paste the activation code directly into a product, or write down the activation code if you want to use it on another device.

You can additionally download and install the latest version of a product by clicking the relevant link under Install on your devices.

Add another email to your account

You can manually connect an existing subscription to your Avast Account, even if your Avast Account is registered to a different email address than the one used to purchase the subscription.

To manually connect a paid Avast subscription to your Avast Account:

  1. Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
  2. Click your email address in the top-right corner and select Account settings.
  3. Under Email management, click + Add another email.
  4. Enter the new email address, then click Add.
  5. Go to your email inbox and open the email from Avast with the subject Please verify your email address.
  6. Click the Verify Email button.
  7. Your newly added email address is now verified. If the status is not updated, refresh your browser window, or sign in to your Avast Account again.

All of your Avast subscriptions are now visible in your Avast Account under My Subscriptions.

Cancel a subscription

If you purchased your Avast subscription via the official Avast website, or via an offer within another Avast product on your PC or Mac, you can normally cancel the subscription using your Avast Account.

You cannot cancel subscriptions purchased via Google Play Store or the App Store using your Avast Account. To learn how to cancel a subscription purchased from one of these vendors, refer to the following article:

To cancel an Avast subscription via your Avast Account:

  1. Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
  2. Click the Subscriptions tile.
  3. Click Unsubscribe under the subscription you want to cancel.
  4. Select Unsubscribe from future renewals and let my subscription expire on MM/DD/YYYY, then click Confirm.
  5. Click Got It.

Your subscription is now canceled. You receive confirmation of the cancellation by email.

If you have multiple Avast subscriptions, you need to repeat the steps above for each subscription that you want to cancel.
