Exporting Avast Passwords data to Google Chrome

This article describes how to export your passwords stored in the Avast Passwords to the Google Chrome browser.


  1. Open the Avast user interface and click Settings.
  2. Click the Passwords tab and if prompted, type your Master Password and click OK.
  3. Scroll down to the Export passwords section and click Export next to Do you want to export your passwords to Google Chrome?.
  4. Select a location for the file and provide a name, then click Save.
  5. Open your Google Chrome browser and type chrome://flags/#PasswordImport in the address bar.
  6. Click the drop-down menu in the Password import section and select Enabled. Then click Relaunch now to confirm changes.
  7. Once relaunched, click the menu icon in the upper-right corner of your browser and select Settings.
  8. Scroll down and select AdvancedPasswords and forms.
  9. In the Passwords and forms section, select Manage passwords.
  10. Click the overflow menu button (three dots) and select Import.
  11. Find and select the previously saved file and click Open to import your passwords to Google Chrome.
