Avast Premium Security is a paid product that requires a subscription to use. After installing Avast Premium Security, you need to activate your subscription using a valid activation code or your Avast Account.
Activation Code
To activate Avast Premium Security using an activation code:
- Open Avast Security and go to

Menu ▸ Activate paid features. 
- Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Activate.

Your Avast Premium Security subscription is now active.
Avast Account
To activate Avast Premium Security using your Avast Account:
- Open Avast Security and go to

Menu ▸ Log in to Avast account. 
- Enter the credentials for your Avast Account that is linked to the email address you used to purchase Avast Premium Security, then click Log In.

Your Avast Premium Security subscription is now active.
Troubleshoot activation issues
If you experience any activation issues:
- Ensure you have correctly entered your activation code, including hyphens.
- If activation using your activation code still doesn't work, try following the instructions to activate using your Avast Account.
- Check that your Avast Account is registered to the email address that you used to purchase Avast Premium Security. If you used a different email address for purchase, you can add this email address to your Avast Account. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
- In some cases, subscription synchronization may take up to 24 hours after purchase. If your subscription is still not active after this time, refer to the following article:
