Activating Avast Ultimate (Single-Device)

Avast Ultimate is a subscription bundle purchase that includes the following products for Windows:

After purchasing Avast Ultimate, you need to activate the products using a valid activation code or your Avast Account.

Before following the activation steps in this article, ensure the latest version of Avast Premium Security is installed on your PC. For instructions, refer to the following article:

Activation Code

To activate Avast Ultimate on your Windows PC using an activation code:

  1. Double-click the Avast Antivirus icon on your desktop to open the application, then go to Menu and select My Subscriptions.
  2. Click Enter a valid activation code.
  3. Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Enter.
  4. Click Activate & Install next to Avast Cleanup and Avast SecureLine VPN.
  5. Avast Cleanup Premium and Avast SecureLine VPN start installing.
  6. If prompted, click Yes to restart your computer.
  7. Your Avast Ultimate subscription is now activated. You can check your subscription details on the My Subscriptions screen in Avast Premium Security.

Avast Account

To activate Avast Ultimate on your Windows PC using your Avast Account:

  1. Double-click the Avast Antivirus icon on your desktop to open the application, then go to Menu and select My Subscriptions.
  2. Click Sign in to your Avast Account.
  3. Enter the credentials for your Avast Account that is linked to the email address you used to purchase Avast Ultimate, then click Sign In.
    Alternatively, select the Create Account tab to create a new Avast Account.
  4. Click Activate & Install next to Avast Cleanup and Avast SecureLine VPN.
  5. Avast Cleanup Premium and Avast SecureLine VPN start installing.
  6. If prompted, click Yes to restart your computer.
  7. Your Avast Ultimate subscription is now activated. You can check your subscription details on the My Subscriptions screen in Avast Premium Security.

Troubleshoot activation issues

If you experience any activation issues:

  1. Ensure you have correctly entered your activation code, including hyphens.
  2. If activation using your activation code still does not work, try following the instructions to activate using your Avast Account.
  3. Check that your Avast Account is registered to the email address that you used to purchased Avast Ultimate. If you used a different email address for purchase, you can add this email address to your Avast Account. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
  4. In some cases, subscription synchronization may take up to 24 hours after purchase. If your subscription is still not active after this time, refer to the article below:
