Avast Mobile Security runs in the background of your device at all times to ensure its complete and continuous real-time protection. The app is designed to have minimal impact on battery life, while protecting your device with maximum security. Running in the background is also required for certain security features to work, such as App Lock. Without the ability to run in the background, Avast Mobile Security cannot protect your device. How can I enable/disable the sticky notification?

To enable or disable the permanent notification in Avast Mobile Security go to Account ▸ Settings ▸ Device protection. Tap the slider next to Safe Ongoing Notifications to display or hide the current security status.

In addition, the notification can be configured for minimal interruption, without sacrificing your device's safety.

1. Tap and pull down the Status bar.
2. Tap and hold the Avast Mobile Security notification and select Settings.
3. Select the type of Alerts and Notification types you prefer. Optionally, tap the slider beside Allow notifications from red (ON) to gray (OFF) to disable all notifications.
   Disabling all notifications is not recommended. Avast Mobile Security requires the ability to send notifications to alert you when your security is breached.

1. Open Google Play Store on the Home screen of your device.
2. Tap your account image in the top-right corner.
3. Select Help & feedback.
4. Tap Send feedback at the bottom of the screen.
5. Tap Get started ▸ Make a suggestion.
6. Type your feedback. For example: I think antivirus apps should be allowed to run without the sticky notification in the status bar.
7. Tap the arrow in the bottom-right corner, then tap Continue.
8. When asked if you want to allow Google to email you for more information regarding your feedback, select Yes or No, depending on your preference.
