Avast Expert Care is a paid subscription service that provides live support by phone, chat, or email for all free Avast products on all supported platforms (Windows PC, Mac, Android, and iOS). Our Expert Care team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help you solve technical issues that you may experience while downloading, installing, and using your free Avast products.
Without Avast Expert Care, free Avast product users have access to our free channels, such as Avast Support articles and Avast Forum, but do not receive help from live support agents.
What is the difference between Avast Expert Care and Avast Support?
Avast Expert Care is a paid subscription service that gives you access to live help and advice by phone, chat, or email, for issues only related to free Avast products on all supported platforms.
The standard Avast Support service is available only for premium customers as part of their paid subscription and covers all paid Avast products or services on all supported platforms.
What is the difference between Avast Expert Care and Avast Premium Tech Support?
Avast Expert Care is a paid subscription service that gives you access to live help and advice by phone, chat, or email, for issues only related to free Avast products on all supported platforms.
Avast Premium Tech Support is a paid service that provides 24/7 premium support by phone for all Avast products or services on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. Avast Premium Tech experts are available not only to help get your Avast products and services set up, show you how to use them and customize them for your needs, but also to help solve technical issues. With Avast Premium Tech Support, our experts are able to help solve issues by remotely connecting to your PC, while Avast Expert Care does not include remote access or technical issue troubleshooting.
Is Avast Expert Care available in languages other than English?
Avast Expert Care is only available in English.

How long is the subscription valid for?
The initial term of the subscription is valid for one year from the date of purchase, and automatically renews annually at the applicable renewal price, unless the renewal is canceled.
How much does Avast Expert Care cost?
For your first year, Avast Expert Care costs 1$ USD for customers in the USA, $1 CAD for customers in Canada, £1 for customers in the UK, and $1 AUD for customers in Australia. After your first year, Avast Expert Care renews at $19.99 USD for customers in the USA, $24.99 CAD for customers in Canada, £19.99 for customers in the UK, and $29.99 AUD for customers in Australia, per year.
Where can I find a confirmation of my subscription?
After subscribing to Avast Expert Care, you will receive an order confirmation email. Your subscription will also be visible under the My Subscriptions tab in your Avast Account.
Do I need to activate my Avast Expert Care subscription?
You do not need to install or activate additional software to use Avast Expert Care. Just contact our agents when you want help with your free Avast products. We verify your subscription by asking you to provide details from your order confirmation email, such as your email address, name, and order ID.
How do I cancel my Avast Expert Care subscription?
- Sign in to your Avast Account. If you do not have an account, select Create an account.
- In the My subscriptions tile, select Manage subscriptions.
- Find the Avast subscription you want to cancel.
- Click Unsubscribe under the subscription that you want to cancel.
- Click Continue.
- Optionally, please let us know why you are unsubscribing, then click Continue.
- Review the details about your canceled subscription, then click Close.
