Creating a bug report on Android devices

Some issues related to Avast mobile apps may require deeper investigation by Avast Support. In such cases, Avast Support representative may ask you to send a bug report.

Create a bug report

Follow these steps to create a bug report on your Android device and send it to Avast Support:

The following steps may differ depending on the version of your Android operating system and mobile device type.
  1. On your Android device, go to SettingsAbout or SettingsAbout device.
  2. Tap the Build number option 7 times to unlock Developer options. On some devices, you may need to tap Software info first.
  3. Go to SettingsDeveloper options.
  4. Enable Developer options by tapping the slider.
  5. Go back to SettingsDeveloper options.
  6. Tap Take bug report or Submit bug report.
  7. If prompted to select a type of report, select Full report. Then tap Report.
  8. On the notification bar of your device, tap Bug report captured and tap OK in the dialog.
  9. Tap your email client icon, for example, Gmail. Follow these steps to send to Avast Support a message with the generated bug report:
    1. Change the address in the To field to
    2. In the Subject field, type the name of the Avast app your issue is related to and a short description of your issue, for example:
      Avast Mobile Security - Device performance issue
    3. In the body of the message, type the detailed issue description. If you are able to reproduce your issue, record it by following the steps in the Reporting an issue with Avast Mobile Security to Avast Support article and include the link to your video in the body of this message.
    4. Ensure that the bug report file is attached to your message (the .txt file).
    5. Tap Send.

Avast Support representatives will investigate your issue and contact you as soon as possible.
