Activating an Avast Secure Browser Pro subscription

Avast Secure Browser is available as both a free and paid product. The paid product, Avast Secure Browser Pro, requires a subscription to use. After installing Avast Secure Browser, you need to activate your subscription using a valid activation code or your Avast Account.

An Avast Secure Browser Pro subscription purchased directly in the Avast Secure Browser application is activated automatically on the PC used to make the purchase and does not need to be manually activated.

To activate Avast Secure Browser Pro using an activation code:

  1. Locate your activation code. This is included in your order confirmation email. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article:
  2. Double-click the Avast Secure Browser icon on your Windows desktop to open the application.
  3. Click Menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the browser window and select Settings.
  4. Select My subscriptions in the left panel, then click Already have an activation code?.
  5. Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Enter.

Your Avast Secure Browser Pro subscription is now active. If activation is unsuccessful, refer to the Still need help? section of this article.

Sign in to Avast Account

To activate Avast Secure Browser Pro using an Avast Account:

  1. Ensure that you know which email address you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser Pro. This is the email address where you received the order confirmation email after purchase.
  2. Double-click the Avast Secure Browser icon on your Windows desktop to open the application.
  3. Click Menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the window and select Settings.
  4. Select My subscriptions in the left panel, then click Sign in to your Avast Account under Activate your subscription now.
  5. Enter the credentials for your Avast Account that is linked to the email address you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser Pro, then click Continue.

    If you do not have an Avast Account, select Create an account to create a new Avast Account with the same email address that you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser Pro.
