Canceling an Avast subscription via your Avast Account

This article explains how to cancel an Avast subscription via your Avast Account.

If you do not have an Avast Account, you can first create an Avast Account with the email address you provided during the subscription purchase, then follow the cancellation steps below. Otherwise, refer to the following article for alternative cancellation methods:

Canceling your subscription before the next billing date ensures you will not be charged for a new subscription period when the current subscription period ends.

After you cancel an Avast subscription, you can continue to use your paid Avast products until the end of the current subscription period. At this point, you can either renew the subscription, or lose access to the paid products.

Cancel via your Avast Account

  1. Sign in to your Avast Account using the link below:
  2. Select the Subscriptions tile.
  3. Locate the Avast subscription that you want to cancel.

    If the subscription does not appear on the Subscriptions screen, refer to the troubleshooting steps below.
  4. Click Unsubscribe under the subscription that you want to cancel. If you do not see the Unsubscribe button, refer to the troubleshooting steps below.
  5. Select Unsubscribe from future renewals and let my subscription expire on Month Day, Year, then click Confirm.
  6. Click Got It.

Your subscription is now canceled. You receive confirmation of the cancellation by email.

If you have multiple Avast subscriptions, you need to repeat the steps above for each subscription that you want to cancel.

While the change is processing, the subscription status shows Unsubscribing in progress. When the subscription is canceled, the status changes to Expiring.

I do not see my subscription

If the subscription that you want to cancel does not appear on the Subscriptions screen, the subscription is not linked to your Avast Account. We recommend manually link the subscription to your Avast Account. For instructions, refer to the following article:

I do not see the Unsubscribe button
