Avast One is an all-in-one digital guardian that allows you to access and manage multiple Avast applications. It is designed to simplify your experience by consolidating various security, privacy, and performance tools into one customizable platform.
Through Avast One, you can install the following apps:
- Avast Antivirus (a free version is included in Avast One by default)
- Avast SecureLine VPN
- Avast BreachGuard
- Avast Cleanup
- Avast Driver Updater
- Avast AntiTrack
- Avast Secure Identity
- Avast Secure Browser
After purchasing one of these subscriptions, you need to install Avast One, then activate your app through it. Avast One is currently compatible with Windows Devices and you can install and use your subscriptions on a number of devices specified during the purchase.
Installing Avast One
To install the free version of Avast One, follow the steps below:
- Click the button below to download the latest version of Avast One for Windows:
Download Avast One for Windows - Once the download is finished, open the
avast_antivirus_online_setup.exe
file (by default, downloaded files are saved to your Downloads folder). - Click Install and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Once Avast One installed, you can activate your Avast apps through it by either by signing in to the application with your Avast Account credentials or by entering a valid activation code.
Activate via Avast Account
An Avast Account was created using the email address that you provided during the subscription purchase. To sign into your Avast Account for the first time, refer to the following article:

Follow the steps below to activate an app in Avast One using an Avast Account. If activation via Avast Account fails, you can activate Avast One using a one-time passcode.
Your Avast One apps are now active. If activation is unsuccessful, refer to the Troubleshoot activation issues section below.
To see the auto-renewal date of your subscription (or the expiry date, if auto-renewal is canceled), hover your cursor over the left panel and select Account or go to your Avast Account.
Activate via activation code
Your activation code is most commonly found in the order confirmation email you receive after purchasing an Avast subscription. For detailed instructions on how to locate your activation code, refer to the following article: Locating your Avast activation code.
- Locate your activation code. The code is included in your order confirmation email. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article: Locate your Avast activation code.
- Open Avast One and click Account in the left panel on the main Avast One screen.

- Click Enter activation code.

- Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Next twice.

- All apps associated with your activation code are installed and activated automatically.

Your Avast One apps are now active. If activation is unsuccessful, refer to the Troubleshoot activation issues section below.

Troubleshoot activation issues
If you experience activation issues, review the information below, which explains how to resolve some of the most common activation issues.
Try these possible solutions:
- Ensure that you are entering the credentials for the Avast Account that is linked to your Avast subscriptions. To verify this, sign in to your Avast Account in your web browser and click Manage subscriptions on the My subscriptions tile tile to see a list of the linked subscriptions.
- If your Avast subscriptions are not visible in your Avast Account, refer to the following article to manually link the subscription to your Avast Account.
- Try following the instructions to activate using an activation code instead. You can find your activation code in your order confirmation email or in your Avast Account. For detailed instructions on how to find your activation code, refer to the following articles:
- Completely uninstall and then reinstall the Avast One. This can resolve issues that are caused by incorrect configuration or corrupted files. We recommend following the exact steps in the articles linked below:
After reinstallation, try activating your subscriptions again.
If you are still unable to activate your subscription, you can optionally click the link below to open the Avast Technical Support form. After you submit the request, an Avast Support agent will contact you to help resolve the issue.
Try these possible solutions:
