This article guides you to resolve common issues with your financial accounts linked to your Avast account
Remove Duplicate Financial Monitoring Alerts
Alerts can be duplicated when you have a financial institution added more than once. To avoid duplicated alerts, ensure that you have only one entry for each financial institution.
A possible reason that you may have a financial account linked multiple times is that you may have previously added the same account more than once. Remove one of the accounts to avoid the duplicate alerts.
- Sign in to your Avast Account.
- Under the Identity Protection tile, click Go to Dashboard.
- Click Monitored Info
- Scroll down to Financial Accounts.
- Click on
⋮
to remove your account.
Missing Financial Monitoring Alert
Some of the reasons as to why you do not see the alerts:
- If your financial institution is not linked to your account.
To add a financial institution, read Manage your Financial Monitoring account with Avast.
If the financial institution is disconnected, read Reconnect your financial institution for Financial Monitoring.
- The transaction is not a withdrawal. Only withdrawals made from your linked accounts are reported as Financial Monitoring alerts.
- A technical error may have occurred.
Delayed Transaction Alerts
The bank may be experiencing technical difficulties. In these situations, once the errors are fixed, they send us the files. This can result in an alert being shown later than the actual transaction date.
The Bank Does Not Appear in the Search List
- Why is my bank not on your list?
We support most financial institutions, but our network does not have full coverage of all financial institutions.
- When will my bank be added to your network?
We continue to try to incorporate additional banks and financial institutions, but we are not able to provide additional information as to when, or if your bank will be included in our network.
- If my bank is not in your network, are those accounts not monitored with your Financial Monitoring?
If your bank is not supported in our network, you will not receive alerts for those accounts.
Security Verification Code Not Sent
If you are being prompted to enter a verification code, but have not received it yet:
- Enter the email or phone number you have registered with your financial institution to receive the security code, then click Next.
- The code is sent to your email or phone number. Type in the code on the next screen.
If you still have not received the security code, contact the relevant financial institution.
