To activate the premium features in Avast One, you need to sign in to the application with an Avast Account that contains a valid Avast subscription. The instructions in this article explain how to sign in to Avast One using an Avast Account or an activation code.
Activate via Avast Account
To activate an app in Avast One using an Avast Account:
- Open Avast One, hover your cursor over the left panel and click Account.
- Select Sign in.
- Enter the email address associated with your Avast Account, then click Continue.
- Enter the password associated with your Avast Account, then click Sign In.
Avast One is now active.
If you are having issues logging into your Avast Account, follow the steps below to activate Avast One using a one-time passcode:
- Open Avast One, hover your cursor over the left panel and click Account.
- Select Sign in.
- Click Request one-time passcode.
- Enter the email address associated with your Avast Account, then click Continue. An email containing a temporary passcode is sent to the email address you provided.
- Enter the passcode you received in your email inbox, then click Verify.

Activate the old version of Avast One
To activate the old version of Avast One follow the steps below:
- Open Avast One and click Account in the left panel on the main Avast One screen.
- Select Sign in and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to your Avast Account.

Activate via activation code
To activate an app in Avast One using an activation code:
- Locate your activation code. The code is included in your order confirmation email. For detailed instructions, refer to the following article: Locate your Avast activation code.
- Open Avast One, hover your cursor over the left panel and click Account.
- Click Enter activation code.
- Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Next twice.
- All apps associated with your activation code are installed and activated automatically.

- Option B: Enter the credentials for the Avast Account that contains your Avast One subscription, then click Continue. Alternatively, click Login for the first time.

- When prompted by your browser, follow the on-screen instructions to re-open Avast One.

To see the auto-renewal date of your subscription (or the expiry date, if auto-renewal is canceled), click the 
Account in the left panel or go to your Avast Account. You can activate Avast One on the number of devices you specified when making the purchase.
Activate via sign-in key
If activation via Avast Account fails, you can activate Avast One using the sign-in key from your web browser. To use this alternative activation method, follow the steps below:
- Open Avast One and click Account in the left panel on the main Avast One screen.
- Select Sign in. Your default web browser opens.
- Follow the relevant step below (option A or option B) in your default web browser:
- Option A: Check that the listed Avast Account is the one that contains your Avast One subscription, then click Yes, continue. Alternatively, click Sign in as someone else.
- Option B: Enter the credentials for the Avast Account that contains your Avast One subscription, then click Continue.
- Option A: Check that the listed Avast Account is the one that contains your Avast One subscription, then click Yes, continue. Alternatively, click Sign in as someone else.
- Click Get a sign-in key instead.
- Click Copy to clipboard.
- Go to Avast One, and click enter the sign-in key from your browser.
- Type or paste your sign-in key into the text box, then click Continue.

- Ensure you are signed in to Google Play Store with the same Google Account that you used to purchase Avast One. For instructions on how to verify this, refer to the following article:
- Tap the Avast One icon on your device. The app opens.
- Tap Account, then tap your subscription.
- Tap Restore from Google Play.
The app automatically retrieves and activates your Avast One subscription from Google Play Store.

- Tap Account, then tap your subscription.
- Select Restore from App Store.
