Avast Secure Browser is available as both a free and paid product. The paid product, Avast Secure Browser PRO, requires a subscription to use. After installing Avast Secure Browser, you may need to manually activate your application.

Enter activation code
To activate Avast Secure Browser PRO using an activation code:
- Locate your activation code. This is included in your order confirmation email. For detailed instructions, refer to the article: Locating your Avast activation code.
- Open Avast Secure Browser, then click
⋮Menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the browser window and select Settings.
- Select My subscriptions in the left panel, then click Already have an activation code?.
- Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Enter.
Sign in to Avast Account
To activate Avast Secure Browser PRO using an Avast Account:
- Open Avast Secure Browser, then click
⋮Menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the browser window and select Settings. - Select My subscriptions in the left panel, then click Sign in to your Avast Account.
- Enter your Avast Account credentials, then click Continue.
If you experience activation issues, check that your Avast Account is registered to the email address you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser PRO. If you used a different email address for purchase, you can add this email address to your Avast Account. For detailed instructions, refer to the article: Adding a missing subscription to your Avast Account.
Avast Secure Browser PRO is now active. If activation is unsuccessful, refer to the Still need help? section of this article.
Enter activation code
To activate Avast Secure Browser PRO using an activation code:

- Enter your Avast Account credentials, then click Continue.

- Tap the Account icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select Already have an activation code?.

Sign in to Avast Account
To activate Avast Secure Browser PRO using an Avast Account:
- Tap the Avast Secure Browser icon on the Home screen of your device. The app opens.
- Tap the Account icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select Login/Register.
- Enter your Avast Account credentials, then tap Sign in.
If you experience activation issues, check that your Avast Account is registered to the email address you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser PRO. If you used a different email address for purchase, you can add this email address to your Avast Account. Sign in to Avast Account
To activate Avast Secure Browser PRO using an Avast Account:
- Tap the Avast Secure Browser icon on the Home screen of your device. The app opens.
- Tap the Account icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select Sign in to your Avast Account.
- Enter your Avast Account credentials, then tap Sign in.
If you experience activation issues, check that your Avast Account is registered to the email address you used to purchase Avast Secure Browser PRO. If you used a different email address for purchase, you can add this email address to your Avast Account. Restore from App Store
If you want to start using your subscription on a new device or if you reset your existing device, you can restore your Avast Secure Browser PRO subscription via the App Store:
- Ensure you are signed in to the App Store with the same Apple ID that you used to purchase your subscription. For instructions on how to verify this, refer to the Apple Support article: Apple Support ▸ Sign in with you Apple ID.
- Tap the Avast Secure Browser icon on the Home screen of your device. The app opens.
- Tap the Account icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
- Select Restore Purchase.
The app automatically retrieves and activates your Avast Secure Browser PRO subscription from the App Store.
