Managing pop-up notifications in Avast products

Most Avast applications display notifications about application activity, product updates, warnings, and alerts. To disable pop-up notifications or stop offers for other products, follow the instructions in this article according to your app.

Avast AntiTrack

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast AntiTrack and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Untick the box next to Show notifications for fingerprint changes, then select your preferred option for Notify me of blocked tracking attempts.

Avast Antivirus / Avast Premium Security

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Antivirus and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Under Pop-up notifications treatment, select Silent mode to disable any pop-ups, alerts, or messages.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Premium Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Under Offers, untick the boxes next to the following options:
    For information about data collection, refer to the Avast Privacy Policy.
    • Share app-usage data with Avast so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with Avast so we may offer you 3rd party products.

Avast Battery Saver

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Battery Saver and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Notifications.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Show me when Battery Saver is automatically turned ON.
    • Remind me to Turn on Battery Saver when on battery.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Battery Saver and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select General ▸ Personal privacy.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:

Avast Cleanup Premium

  1. Open Avast Cleanup Premium and hover your mouse over the side menu, then select Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Share app-usage data with Avast Cleanup Premium so we may offer you upgrades or our other products.
    • Share app-usage data with Avast Cleanup Premium so we may offer you 3rd party products.

Avast Driver Updater

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Driver Updater and go to Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select Notifications, then untick the box next to Notify me when my drivers are outdated.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Driver Updater and go to Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Select Personal privacy, then untick the boxes next to the following options:

New Avast One

Follow the relevant steps to disable pop-up notifications or stop offers for other products:

  1. Open Avast One, hover your cursor over the side menu and select Settings.
  2. Click Open in the General tab.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Under Pop-up notifications treatment, select Silent mode to disable any pop-ups, alerts, or messages.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast One, hover your cursor over the side menu and select Settings.
  2. Click Open in the General tab.
  3. Select Notifications.
  4. Under Offers, untick the boxes next to the following options:

Old Avast One

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account ▸ Settings.
  2. Under Pop-up notifications treatment, select Silent mode to disable any pop-ups, alerts, or messages.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account ▸ Settings.
  2. Select the Privacy policy tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:

Avast Secure Browser

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast Secure Browser and go to ⋮ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. In the left menu, select Privacy and security, then click Site settings.
  3. Select the following options:
    • Click Notifications, then select Don't allow sites to send notifications.
    • Click Pop-ups and redirects, then select Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or redirects.

Avast SecureLine VPN

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Under Notifications, untick the box next to Show Avast VPN notifications.

Stop offers for other products:

  1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. Under Personal Privacy, untick the box next to Show offers for our other products.

Avast AntiTrack

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast AntiTrack and go to Settings.

  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the box next to See possible upgrades and offers for our other products by sharing app-usage data with us.

Avast Security / Avast Premium Security

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select the Notifications tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to the following options:
    • Disable notifications when in Focus mode.
    • Disable notifications when in full screen mode.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Security and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the box next to See possible upgrades and offers for our other products by sharing app-usage data with us.

Avast One

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select the Notifications tab.
  3. Untick the boxes next to notifications that you do not want to receive.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. Untick the box under Offers.
    For information about data collection, refer to the Avast Privacy Policy.

Avast Secure Browser

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast Secure Browser and go to ⋮ Menu ▸ Settings.
  2. In the left menu, select Privacy and security, then click Site settings.
  3. Select the following options:
    • Click Notifications, then select Don't allow sites to send notifications.
    • Click Pop-ups and redirects, then select Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or redirects.

Avast SecureLine VPN

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select General.
  3. Under Notifications, untick the box next to Show status notifications.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to ☰ Menu ▸ Preferences.
  2. Select General.
  3. Under Personal Privacy, untick the box next to Show offers for our other products.

Avast Cleanup

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Cleanup and tap ☰ Menu (the three lines).
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Select the following options:
    • To disable Notifications and Reports, tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF).
    • Select the items categories, then tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) next to notifications that you do not want to receive.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Cleanup and tap ☰ Menu (the three lines).
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Personal privacy.
  3. Tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for Share app-usage data with Avast so we may offer you upgrades or other products.

Avast Mobile Security

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast Mobile Security and tap Account.
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Tap the green (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for notifications that you do not want to receive.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast Mobile Security and tap Account.
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Privacy policy.
  3. Tap the green (ON) slider so it changes to white (OFF) for Share app-usage data.

Avast One

Follow the relevant steps to disable notifications or stop offers for other products:

Disable notifications

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account.
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Notifications.
  3. Tap the blue (ON) slider so that it changes to gray (OFF) for any notifications you do not want to receive.
 

Stop offers for other products

  1. Open Avast One and go to Account.
  2. Tap Settings ▸ Privacy policy.
  3. Tap the blue (ON) slider so it changes to gray (OFF) for Share app-usage data.

Avast SecureLine VPN

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Scroll down and select Notifications ▸ Statistics notification.
  3. In your device settings, select your preferred notification options.

Avast Secure Browser

To disable notifications:

  1. Open Avast Secure Browser and go to Settings (the gear icon).
  2. Next to Notifications, tap the green (ON) slider so that it changes to gray (OFF).
