Uninstalling Avast Password Manager

 
If you have a paid Avast Password Manager subscription, uninstalling the application or browser extension does not automatically cancel your subscription. For information about canceling your subscription, refer to the following article: Canceling an Avast subscription - FAQs.
Uninstalling the application or browser extension does not delete your Avast Password Manager vault. To permanently delete your vault, refer to the following article: Deleting your Avast Password Manager vault.

To remove the browser extension from your device, select the relevant web browser:

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click the extensions icon, and beside Avast Password Manager select ⋮ Options (the three dots).
  3. Select Remove from Chrome ▸ Remove.

The Avast Password Manager browser extension is removed from your Google Chrome browser.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click the extensions icon.
  3. Beside Avast Password Manager select … Options (the three dots) ▸ Manage Extension.
  4. Select Remove ▸ Remove.

The Avast Password Manager browser extension is removed from your Microsoft Edge browser.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. In the top-right corner of the screen, click the extensions icon.
  3. In the Add-ons Manager screen, select Extensions in the side menu.
  4. In the Avast Password Manager panel, click … Options (the three dots).
  5. Select Remove ▸ Remove.

The Avast Password Manager browser extension is removed from your Mozilla Firefox browser.

To uninstall Avast Password Manager from an Android device, follow the steps below according to your preferred method:

  1. On the Home screen of your device, tap the Play Store icon to open Google Play Store.
  2. In the search bar, type Avast Password Manager, then select Avast Password Manager from the search results.
  3. Tap Uninstall, then Uninstall again to confirm uninstallation.
These steps may differ slightly depending on your device model, Android version, and vendor customizations.
  1. Open your device Settings and go to Apps.
  2. Select Avast Password Manager.
  3. Tap Uninstall, then tap OK to confirm uninstallation.

Avast Password Manager is now uninstalled from your Android device.

To uninstall Avast Password Manager from an iOS device, follow the steps below according to your preferred method:

  1. On the Home screen of your device, touch and hold the Avast Password Manager icon, then select Remove App from the menu that appears.
  2. Select Delete App to remove Avast Password Manager and all of your app data.
  3. Select Delete to confirm removal.
  1. On the Home screen of your device, touch and hold the Avast Password Manager icon until it starts to wiggle.
  2. Tap the small x that appears in the top-left corner of the icon.
  3. Select Delete to confirm removal.

Avast Password Manager is now uninstalled from your iOS device.
