Due to recent changes in the Google Play Developer Policy Center, Avast Mobile Security is no longer able to perform the following actions:
- Interpret the content of SMS messages
- Send SMS messages
- Access the call log
As a result, the following features have been removed from Avast Mobile Security and Avast One:
Anti-Theft
It is no longer possible for your lost or stolen Android device to receive commands using SMS Remote Control or SMS commands. Therefore, we have removed the Anti-Theft feature within Avast Mobile Security, and Avast One. This change was implemented in Avast Mobile Security version 23.3.1. and Avast One version 23.9.0.
Boost Ram/Task Killer
Avast Mobile Security and Avast One for Android can no longer close the apps that are using your device memory to run background processes. Therefore, we have removed the Boost Ram feature within Avast Mobile Security, and Avast One no longer stops background processes during the Performance Scan. This change was implemented in Avast Mobile Security version 23.3.1. and Avast One version 23.9.0.
Call Blocker
Due to the recent changes in the Google Play Developer Policy Center and Android policies, Avast is no longer able to access your call log. Therefore, the Call Blocker feature is no longer be available in Avast Mobile Security and Avast One.
