When installing Avast One on Mac and choosing Move to Avast One, you may see the error message “Something went wrong during installation.” This can happen if other paid Avast standalone apps were detected on your Mac but were not activated at the time of migration. Follow the steps below to manually activate your paid features in the Avast One app using their respective activation codes.
Depending on your scenario:
- If the paid feature was not activated when choosing the Move to One app in the installation flow
- If the Avast One app is not responding correctly, we must Uninstall and Reinstall the Avast One App
If the paid feature was not activated when choosing Move to One app in the installation flow.
Enter activation code
1. Close the Avast installer.
When the error appears, click Close to exit the Avast One installer.
2. Open the Avast One app.
3. Click on the paid feature that you prefer to activate.
4. At the bottom of the screen, select Enter the activation code
5. Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens) into the text box, then click Activate or Next and complete the activation following the on-screen instructions.
If the Avast One app is not responding correctly, we need to Uninstall and Reinstall the Avast One App.
