What is included in Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device)?

An Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription allows you to use all of the 4 product packages listed below:

Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) can be activated on up to 10 devices simultaneously, on the platforms of your choice. On each device, you can choose to activate all or some of the available products for the relevant platform.

You cannot use your Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription on more than 10 devices simultaneously, regardless of which products you activate and how many products you choose to activate on each device.

What is included in Avast Mobile Ultimate?

An Avast Mobile Ultimate subscription includes the following products for Android:

You can activate each product on up to 5 Android devices simultaneously.

You cannot activate VPN on more than 5 devices simultaneously. This includes both Avast SecureLine VPN and the VPN Protection feature in Avast Mobile Security.

What is included in Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Windows?

An Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) subscription includes the following products for Windows:

You can activate your subscription on one Windows PC.

What is included in Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Mac?

An Avast Mac Ultimate subscription includes the following products for Mac:

What are the system requirements for Avast Ultimate?

  • PC: Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7 (SP2) (32 or 64-bit), 1 GB RAM, 2 GB free hard disk space.
  • Mac: macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or later with 750 MB of hard disk space.
  • Android: Android 6.0 (Marshmallow, API 23) or later.
  • iPhone/iPad: iOS 12.0 or higher.
You may be able to use your subscription on just one or all of the platforms listed above, depending which subscription option you purchased.

How do I install and activate Avast Ultimate?

You can use your subscription on the platforms specified below:
  • Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device): Your subscription is valid on all platforms (Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS).
  • Avast Mobile Ultimate: Your subscription is valid on Android only.
  • Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Windows: Your subscription is valid on Windows only.
  • Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Mac: Your subscription is valid on Mac only.

How do I uninstall Avast Ultimate?

Removing Avast Ultimate from your device does not automatically cancel your subscription. For information about canceling an Avast subscription, refer to the following article:

To uninstall an Avast app from your iOS device:

  1. Touch and hold the icon for your Avast app on the Home screen of your device.
  2. Tap Remove App.
  3. Tap Delete App to remove the app and all of your app data.
  4. Tap Delete to confirm removal.

The app is now removed from your iOS device.

What should I do if my purchased subscription or activation code doesn't work?

If you experience issues while activating your subscription on Windows or Mac, retrieve your activation code from the Avast Account that is linked to the email address you provided during the subscription purchase, then try to insert your activation code again. If the issue persists, follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Uninstall all products included in your Avast Ultimate subscription.
  2. Download and install your chosen products again.
  3. Insert your activation code into Avast Premium Security or Avast Security for Mac.

How can I transfer my subscription to another device?

If you no longer want to use your Avast Ultimate subscription on a particular device, follow the steps below to transfer your subscription from one device to another:

  1. Uninstall all of the products connected to your Avast Ultimate subscription from the original device.
  2. Install and activate your chosen products on the new device.

Can I activate Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Windows on multiple PCs?

No. You can only use an Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) subscription on one PC at a time, even if you do not install and activate all of the available products. If you wish to use your subscription on more than one device, we recommend purchasing an Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription, which can be activated on up to 10 devices simultaneously, and is additionally valid on Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Can I activate Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) for Mac on multiple Macs?

No. You can only use an Avast Ultimate (Single-Device) subscription on one Mac at a time, even if you do not install and activate all of the available products. If you wish to use your subscription on more than one device, we recommend purchasing an Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) subscription, which can be activated on up to 10 devices simultaneously, and is additionally valid on Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS.

Can I choose which products to activate on each of my devices?

Yes. On each of your devices, you can choose to activate all or just some of the available products for that platform. You can activate the same product on multiple devices, or choose not to activate a particular product on any of your devices.

However, you cannot exceed the device limit for your purchased subscription, regardless of which products you choose to install. For example, if you have Avast Ultimate (Multi-Device) and you choose to activate only Avast Premium Security on 10 separate devices, you cannot activate your subscription on an additional device. This applies even if you want to start using a product that you have not yet activated, such as Avast Cleanup Premium or Avast SecureLine VPN.
