Troubleshooting when Avast SecureLine VPN for iOS is unable to connect to a VPN service

Normally Avast SecureLine VPN for iOS needs only a few seconds to connect to a VPN server. If it takes a long time to connect, or you cannot connect at all, it may indicate that your connection with the selected VPN server is under high traffic load, or the server is temporarily unavailable due to maintenance.

In many cases, the simplest solution is to choose and connect to another VPN server location.


To choose another VPN server location:

  1. Open SettingsLocation on your device, or tap the location on the dashboard.
  2. Open SettingsVPN on your device.
  3. Select a VPN server location from the list. For better connection speed we recommend you try a VPN server in a location nearest to you. If Avast SecureLine VPN does not connect again, try another location.

If you cannot connect to any VPN server, the problem may be caused by network policies of the Wi-Fi or Cellular network you are connected to.

If you are unable to resolve the problem, submit a ticket to Avast Support.
