Using The Avast Support Tool


Please follow the instructions at to send us diagnostic information from a device/workstation you are experiencing issues with.

In the “Details of your issue (optional)” box, please also provide your Avast case/ticket number, if applicable.

When you contact us, please provide the File ID.

Location of Avast log files:

  • Windows XP; Server 2003 - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\log

  • Windows Vista/7/8/10; Server 2008/2012/2016 - C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log
