Uninstalling Avast Secure Browser using the Avast Uninstall Tool

We recommend using the Avast Uninstall Tool to remove Avast Secure Browser from your Windows device if uninstallation via the Start menu did not work or you see the setup is already running message.

If you have a paid Avast Secure Browser subscription, uninstalling the browser does not automatically cancel your subscription. For information about canceling your subscription, refer to the following article: Canceling an Avast subscription - FAQs.

1. Click the button below to download the Avast Uninstall Tool and save it to a familiar location on your Windows device (by default, downloaded files are saved to your Downloads folder). Download the Avast Uninstall Tool
2. Right-click the downloaded file avast_secure_browser_uninstall.exe, and select Run as administrator from the context menu.

3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
4. Optionally, tick the box next to Also delete your browsing data to delete your profile information, such as bookmarks and history. Then click Uninstall ▸ Continue to uninstall to continue.
5. Wait while the Avast Uninstall Tool removes Avast Secure Browser from your Windows device.

Avast Secure Browser is now uninstalled from your Windows device.
