Avast products and services unavailable in Russia and Belarus - FAQs

The mission of Avast is to protect everyday digital citizens and shape a fairer, freer internet. With the recent events and export control regulations, as a global company, we need to adhere to sanctions required by international and national governments.

Initially, our free products, like Avast Free Antivirus, remained available only to existing users in Russia and Belarus. However, from January 29 2024, all Avast products and services are no longer available in the regions.

No. While users with installed Avast products were initially able to continue using them, all products for all users located in Russia and Belarus became unavailable on January 29 2024. When users located in these regions open their installed applications, they see the message Sorry, this product is not supported in your current location.

No. All subscriptions that users in the regions had, have expired. All paid products and services are indefinitely unavailable in the regions.

No. We have suspended all sales and the availability of our products and services in Russia and Belarus.

You do not need to unsubscribe as expired Avast subscriptions are no longer being renewed.

To uninstall the apps from your devices, go to the Avast Support website, select your device type and the app which you want to uninstall, then follow the uninstallation instructions in the Uninstallation articles provided.
