I use Zone Alarm firewall and have troubles logging into my web mail service (Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc.) What can I do to solve this?
Zone Alarm's cookie blocking feauture currently does not work properly with WebShield's transparent proxy. Having both features turned on may cause login problems when accessing pages that require cookies.
Under certain conditions, it is necessary to bypass the Web Shield's transparent proxy and set things up manually by the following steps:
Note: If you use multiple connections, it is necessary to set the address and port of the local proxy for each connection separately.
The inability to login to Yahoo (or Hotmail, etc.) email services commonly results from the privacy settings in Zone Alarm being set too high. You can do one of the following:

For proper functionality of Privacy control with Web Shield provider add localhost to your site list in the Privacy area and allow all cookie types (especialy 3rd party cookies). Next you must turn on Privacy filtering for the Web Shield module by the following steps:
Furthermore your browser connections are intercepted by Web Shield proxy module running on localhost. This confuse Zone Alarm and result in incorrect identification of the Web page. Session cookies may be considered as 3rd party cookies and blocked.
